Panta vs Headcount Labs
Compare Swiss job API and MCP access
Both providers support programmatic Swiss job discovery and publish anonymous MCP access. Choose by the fields, geography and delivery your workflow needs, rather than by MCP availability alone.

Read as MarkdownChoose Panta when
Your workflow is centered on Switzerland and needs a public REST request as well as public MCP, source observations, canton filters and explicit location classes. Panta lets you inspect those records before adding optional personal workspace access.
Choose the provider when: Headcount Labs
You need several countries, the provider’s additional filters or its authenticated export and change tools. Headcount Labs also offers anonymous MCP search, so a no-account connector is not an exclusive Panta feature. Evaluate the appropriate profile rather than comparing its authenticated server with Panta’s public tools.
Compare the access and data
| Decision | Panta | Headcount Labs |
|---|---|---|
| Best starting task | Swiss-eligible job discovery and employer research, with source evidence. | International job data, including a documented Switzerland country filter. |
| Documented access | Public REST JSON and MCP market reads without a Panta account or API key. Personal workspace tools need OAuth consent; client policies still apply. | REST uses a key. MCP has an OAuth server and a separate public, keyless profile with its own limits. |
| Data and delivery | Bounded, paginated search and job details with source observations. Descriptions and fields can be missing or incomplete. | Job search and details; authenticated tooling also documents exports and job changes. |
| Access and usage costs | Public market reads currently need no paid plan. Approximate request limits apply; optional keys are available. See the current access documentation. | Free allowances and usage pricing are documented separately from the bounded public MCP profile. Check the current plan and rate limits. |
Panta is an observed index, not a census. Its public API does not offer a bulk export or historical time series. Observed past employer listings are incomplete. Public access does not grant rights to republish third-party descriptions. Check source freshness and the original advert before acting.
Sources and review scopeQuestions to resolve before choosing
- Which endpoint or profile is being compared: public MCP, authenticated MCP or REST?
- How do both providers classify a role with Swiss and foreign locations?
- Which fields and export or change operations are needed at your expected volume?
Try the Panta side with a real request
Run the same Zurich role search in both products, then compare a few source-linked requisitions, location evidence and description completeness. Provider headline counts use different populations and dates.
This read-only example asks for up to five data-engineering records in canton Zürich. It does not filter for English-only work or establish candidate eligibility. A live response can have fewer or no matches.
Open example JSONUse the response to inspect a job, its source listings and its location evidence. An unavailable service is different from no matching records.

Panta publishes these comparisons. Provider descriptions follow the linked public documentation; we have not benchmarked coverage, speed, accuracy or hiring outcomes. Features and plans can change. An unverified capability is not a finding that it is absent.
These are provider documents, not independent performance tests. We did not create vendor accounts, buy datasets or send private data to a provider. Check the current contract, field definitions and rights for your own use case.
